We are a church for anyone. It doesn’t matter where you are in life, where you’re from or where you’ve been – there’s something for everyone at NORTH COAST. We offer great kids’ and youth programs on a Sunday and mid-week, and you can find out more about our ministries here on our website, or by getting in touch. We hope to see you soon!

WHY? WHEN? HOW? Join a Growth Group @ NCC in 2018

WHY join a Growth Group?   “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone, with all wisdom that we may present everyone mature in Christ” (Colossians 1:28) God is very clear. He wants us to grow to maturity in Jesus Christ as we proclaim Him, teach Him and love Him more and more together. In the big gathering on Sundays we’re going to grow in Jesus but it’ll be in the context of knowing a lot of people a little bit. In our growth groups we’ll grow in Jesus in the context of knowing a small group of people a lot. Here’s 4 ways you’ll grow when you join a Growth Group: Grow in the WORD  We’re starting the book of Deuteronomy this term looking at passages that complement the sermon series we’re starting called “For the Love of God”. All our groups will be growing in God’s word as we dig into…

Three Sunday congregations @ NCC in 2018! Why? How? When?

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you’re as excited as I am to see what God is going to do in 2018 through all of us at North Coast Church to His glory. Another year gives us another set of opportunities to grow together as a church to love Jesus and love each other more and more. As you know, God is calling us to keep pursuing the vision He has given us – that we would “…see Jesus Christ standing, with crowds of people from Perth and beyond, made alive by His gospel and delighting in Him for all eternity to the glory of God the Father”. This isn’t a call where we see the goal, reach the goal, hit a number and put our feet up.  No, this is a call for continuous growth and to continually seek growth in His name, for His glory. To that end, and…

Christmas @ NCC and God given gift of growth in 2018 and beyond

Christmas is all about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, born to save us for all eternity. He continues to rescue souls and change lives more than 2000 years later and we would encourage you to pray and invite your friends and family to hear the news of Jesus this Christmas with us at NCC.  All the service times and information about Christmas @ North Coast can be found at www.northcoastchurch.org.au Along with many other churches, we anticipate an increase in attendance as Christmas is celebrated.  But looking beyond the coming 3 weeks, into next year and beyond, we also realise something of great importance. God is challenging NCC to grow We know this because for a number of years now He has not ceased in sending us more families, couples and individuals.  So far, He has provided us with everything we need to accommodate the growth to date but now, we need…

Book Review: Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God

If God is in control of everything, why do we still need to evangelise? The idea that God is sovereign and in control of everything is not new. This is one of the many aspects of God that are made know through the bible. As a result Christians ask, “If God is in control of everything, why do we still need to evangelise?” The answer to this is straightforward and simple: because we are commanded to evangelise by none other than Jesus himself (Matthew 28:18-20). That is all well and good but that was given to the apostles almost 2000 years ago. Why should I still evangelise today? Well today is your lucky day because there is a well know Christians by the name of J. I. Packer who answers this question in his book Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God. In his book J. I. Packer explores the idea…

Are you part of the rescue?

At North Coast Church we structure our ministries in line with 6 Ms. Message, Magnification, Membership, Maturity, Ministry, Mission. In this series of posts we’ll briefly outline what each M means, the vision for it at NCC and what’s happening in 2017. In this post we’ll be looking at MISSION.  What is MISSION all about? Mission is the ministry that focuses on those who are not yet Christians. Jesus told us in Matthew 28, not to just teach disciples, but to make disciples of all nations. MISSIONS is our focus ministry in that area. We want to reach the Northern Suburbs, Perth, and even beyond our shores for Jesus. We want as many people as possible to adore Jesus Christ for all eternity. This is why MISSION includes not just local mission but also overseas mission. Both are equally important to God. What is the vision of MISSION?  “We see…

Are you serving in a team?

At North Coast Church we structure our ministries in line with 6 Ms. Message, Magnification, Membership, Maturity, Ministry, Mission. In this series of posts we’ll briefly outline what each M means, the vision for it at NCC and what’s happening in 2017. In this post we’ll be looking at MINISTRY.  (written by Brendan Hurley) What is Ministry all about?  The Ministry M seeks to help every ministry at North Coast to flourish. The Ministry team is like a Human Resources department, a coaching panel and consultancy firm all rolled into one. In other words the Ministry team supports all the other M’s. We do this in 3 ways: Recruiting – Our team handles all the volunteer recruitment for NorthCoast. Rather than getting each ministry leader (e.g. youth, connect team, set up/pack up team) to recruit volunteers, our team will specialize in finding volunteers. Centralizing recruitment allows us to listen closely to…

Are you growing?

At North Coast Church we structure our ministries in line with 6 Ms. Message, Magnification, Membership, Maturity, Ministry, Mission. In this series of posts we’ll briefly outline what each M means, the vision for it at NCC and what’s happening in 2017. In this post we’ll be looking at MATURITY. What is MATURITY all about? Maturity is all about God maturing His people in Jesus Christ. To that end we want to see every member of North Coast Church maturing in Christ by growing in the 6 marks of maturity through active participation in our discipleship pathways.  The 6 marks of Maturity: Word and Prayer – prioritizing personal relationship with Jesus Church – regularly attending our Sunday gatherings around Jesus Holiness – a desire to change in order to be more like Jesus Serving and leading – fulfilling your relational roles from Jesus Evangelism – influencing others towards Jesus Giving –…

Are you connected and committed?

At North Coast Church we structure our ministries in line with 6 Ms. Message, Magnification, Membership, Maturity, Ministry, Mission. In this series of posts we’ll briefly outline what each M means, the vision for it at NCC and what’s happening in 2017.  What is Membership all about?  (written by Dave Stephenson) Membership Ministry, in a nutshell, is all about connecting with newcomers and helping them integrate into the community at North Coast where they can serve and care for each other. In summary it’s about welcoming, integrating and caring.  The gospel is about a God who takes the initiative to welcome us, so we desire that all newcomers to church are welcomed in a warm, inviting way.  We then seek to see people integrated into the life of the church and discovering the joy of serving others in a myriad of ways.  Formally joining as a member is an outward…

Let God be God amongst us!

At North Coast Church we structure our ministries in line with 6 Ms. Message, Magnification, Membership, Maturity, Ministry, Mission. In this series of posts we’ll briefly outline what each M means, the vision for it at NCC and what’s happening in 2017. In this post we’re looking at MAGNIFICATION.  What is MAGNIFICATION all about?  Magnification is all about God being God in all our gatherings as a church. But it’s not like seeing God through a magnifying glass. That makes small things appear bigger than they are. Magnification is much more like looking through a telescope, which helps us to see things, that at first glance might appear small, as what they really are – HUGE AND AWESOME. In our corporate gatherings at North Coast Church we want to magnify God’s glory through His gospel. We want every person who attends our gatherings to have an opportunity to express authentic affections toward…

Search: Why is there suffering?

Why is there suffering? We tackled this huge question at Leap Frogs Café, on Tuesday 9th March. We invited a whole lot of friends and in the end we had to stop taking bookings there was so much interest. There were about a 100 people there, we took questions from the floor, and hopefully folk were challenged to consider Jesus Christ in the face of suffering. For those of you who weren’t able to be there, or, if you were there and you wanted to go over something, here is a transcript of the talk. Enjoy!

Got the message?

At North Coast Church we structure our ministries in line with 6 Ms. Message, Magnification, Membership, Maturity, Ministry, Mission. In this series of posts we’ll briefly outline what each M means, the vision for it at NCC and what’s happening in 2017. First up is MESSAGE. What is MESSAGE all about? Message is all about God speaking. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and He is the Prophet, Priest and King. He rules His church through His Word. Message is about faithfully relaying His Word to His world. The way we do that is by expository preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ through all of the Bible. The two activities in which Message takes place are Preaching and Teaching. What is the vision of MESSAGE? The Vision for Message is: “To see the dominion of the Triune God restored in the hearts of people as they delight…

Advance Sunday 2017

At church on Sunday we officially launched 2017 at North Coast by looking at God’s vision for His people from Revelation chapter 7. John sees something amazing: After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”  God’s vision for His people is the same vision for North Coast Church. We have the same end in sight. But what does that look like for us as a church?  Here’s our vision. The end result of what we’re doing. We see Jesus Christ standing with crowds of people from Perth and beyond around Him made alive by His gospel…
