Study 8
There is a Divine Logic to Christianity: God’s mercy fuels obedience and joy. In this study in Deuteronomy we see how Moses explains this logic under the Old Covenant.

Starting in Deuteronomy 12 all the way to the end of chapter 26 Moses gives situational examples of how the 10 Commandments work out in real life for the Israelites. We think about how this case law teaches us today how to live real life God’s way.
In this final study in our series in Deuteronomy we look closely at Moses’ swansong. Moses gives us clues that point to the amazing way God has answered the dilemma of the entire Old Testament: how He can be compassionate to His people who deserve His wrath.
A brief introduction into the book of Deuteronomy giving us a glimpse into some of the spiritual treasures this book offers us.
In this study we look at Deuteronomy 2 and 3. Moses rehearses God’s faithful dealings with His people and we see that even though they failed, grace has caused them to triumph!
This study is all about trusting God when we are afraid. We consider Israel’s refusal to enter into the land that God had promised to give them and we learn valuable lessons for ourselves.
The Ten Commandments are famous. But what are they really? In this study we introduce an often overlooked feature of the 10 commandments as we listen to Moses introduce them. As always, we see how this prepares the way for the New Covenant in Jesus Christ.
Having introduced the 10 commandments in the previous study, we now look closely at the first two commandments from Deuteronomy 5. We also see how it is helpful to view the commandments as ‘cross-shaped’.
In this study we look at the 3rd and 4th commandments which teach us how to love the God who saved us reverently (3rd) and constantly (4th).
Here we move from ‘Loving God’, (the primary focus of the first four commandments), to ‘Loving our neighbour’ as we consider the 5th, 6th, and 7th commandments.
In this study we finish our 5-part series in the 10 commandments by looking at the last three. We see how the tenth commandment in particular, exposes our sin and shows us that it is impossible for any man, except the Son of Man, to keep the 10 commandments.
A brief summary of where the book of Deuteronomy fits into the whole magnificent story of God’s kingdom in the Bible from creation to new creation.
